You Can Now Hang Curtains Under Your Garage Door
The Issue: When it comes to using curtains with roll-up garage doors, many users encounter a common issue: there’s typically no fixed point to attach a curtain track when the door is open. This can limit options for installing curtains in your garage or shop.
The Solution: Our industrial curtain track offers an innovative solution to this challenge. With our track being constructed of high-grade steel, it can span 12' without a need to be supported in the middle under the garage door. This allows you to now pull a curtain across the opening while the garage door is open or closed.

The Challenge with Traditional Garage Doors
In many garages, the roll-up door leaves no convenient surface for installing a curtain track once it’s raised. This creates a dilemma for those who want to use curtains for:
- Dust and Debris Control: Preventing dust during wash down applications.
- Space Separation: Defining areas within a larger space.
- Specialized Uses: Setting up photo booths or green screens.
Without a support on the ceiling where the garage door hanges, traditional curtain tracks can’t be installed in a way that covers the door opening when needed. That is why we developed our track to have a strong tensile strength.
A Novel Approach: Curtain Tracks That Work with Your Garage Door
Our industrial curtain track is designed to overcome this problem by being installed along the edges of the garage door opening, rather than relying on a ceiling mount. This allows for a Practical Solution for Garage Curtains Under Roll-Up Doors. Here’s what makes it unique:
- Under-Door Installation: The track is positioned under the roll-up door, allowing the curtain to roll side-to-side across the door opening, regardless of whether the door is raised or lowered.
- Extended Span Capability: Engineered to cover spans of up to 12 feet without additional supports, it is strong enough to maintain stability and function effectively even when only the edges are secured.
- Versatile Application: With this installation method, curtains can be used to temporarily enclose the space in front of the garage door, offering flexibility for various applications.
Practical Applications
Using an industrial curtain track in this manner opens up a range of possibilities:
- Wash Down Areas: During cleaning or maintenance, the curtain can help contain water, cleaning agents, and debris within a designated area.
- Multi-Functional Spaces: Transform your garage into a multi-use space by separating off a work area, a photography studio with green screen setups, or even a temporary storage zone.
- Dust and Environmental Controls: For industrial environments where dust control is essential, the curtain provides an effective barrier to manage airborne particles during processes that generate dust.

Parts Needed
Installing this curtain track system under your roll-up garage door involves these components:
- Threaded Rod or Chain or Cable Track Supports: When supporting the track outside of the garage door area, you will need to use threaded rod or chain or cable mounts. They both work equally well, so it's of personal preference which one you want to use.
- Radius Corners: As in the example pictures, this customer made an enclosure, so he used radius corners. If you only want a curtain that is straight and travels from one end of the garage door to the other, then just order straight track.
- Ceiling Track Supports: If you are using a radius corner, then get (2) ceiling mount track supports, and they will attach to your support angle. You won't be using all 4 bolt locations. Rather, you will only be using (2) of the bolt holes.

Installation Considerations
Installing this curtain track system under your roll-up garage door involves a few key steps:
- Edge Mounting: Secure the track to the very edges of the door opening. This avoids interference with the roll-up mechanism while providing a stable base for the curtain.
- Warning: Make sure you are attaching to the angle support and not the garage door rail!
- Alignment and Tension: Ensure that the track is level and properly aligned so the curtain can roll smoothly from side to side.
- Span Limit Awareness: While the track can cover up to 12 feet without extra support, make sure that the installation does not exceed these dimensions to maintain performance and durability.
- Curtain Weight: The track will hold a standard industrial vinyl curtain or fabric curtain but is not made to support any addtional weight.
