Machine Noise Control
Customer – Just wondering if your company has curtains that are only for sound blocking. I saw that your website said that products also double as sound proofing but I don’t know if that would necessarily be best for my company. We are trying to enclose a machine that produces noise and heat so I am just worried that it might cause the machine to heat up more than usual. I have little experience with industrial curtains so I could definitely be wrong about this. Any guidance is greatly appreciated!
AKON –Yes we have curtains which are specifically designed for sound retention. These curtains are available in a vinyl sound blocking curtain material which is able to be folded up like our standard vinyl curtains. We also offer padded sound curtains which come in panel form but are generally static in position. The padded model blocks more sound than the vinyl version but it limits you on access. However we can add access points like strip doors so you can walk through it or use double track so you can move the panels side to side like a barn door moves. In summary, it is a trade off from sound retention to accessibility. Another option is portable sound blocking panels. These can be moved around and greatly reduce noise from machines and processes.
If you are enclosing a machine to block sound and it produces excessive heat then you can leave the top open or we can add vent panels to the material to allow some air flow while still blocking some sound. Again it is a tradeoff that you will have to decide on. Either way, we design a fully custom solution that will meet your needs.
