Customer – Do you offer anything three sided with a clear ceiling? We need something to back up to our existing paint booth/exhaust but do not need it to extend all the way to the ceiling and would like to allow light to come through. Please let me know what you’ve got for options for something like this. Thank you!
AKON – Yes we do offer three sided paint and sanding enclosures and they can feature a ceiling. This paint booth can be freestanding or they can be supported from above using cables or threaded rod drops. While freestanding is more expensive it is an ideal solution when it is not feasible to have overhead supports. The ceiling would feature a clear vinyl material which is fire retardant and allows white to enter the enclosure.
Are your curtain systems “legal” to use a paint booth? Do they meet NFPA 33 regulations?
Our curtains are Fire Retardant which is one step in the process of being NFPA 33 approved. The code deals more with onsite fire suppression from our understanding. This would include fire sprinklers and other fire suppression methods. So it is really more of a checklist type procedure achieve NFPA 33 code. Our curtains would be just one piece of the puzzle. FYI this code generally is most inquired about by customers looking for Paint and Spray Booth Curtains.
