Are the strip curtains NFPA 701 rated?
- No, NFPA 701 is for fire-rated materials/fabrics. These “Standard Smooth” PVC strip curtains don’t meet that standard (or they would be 2X the cost and not as clear).
- However, all of the strips AKON sells are all fire retardant and meet California Fire Marshal Code which is the strictest in the country.
- If you have to have NFPA 701 rating we do offer a line of strip curtains called polysim 509 material. It is both ESD, Non-outgassing and NFPA 701 rated.
